Is FixMyPrompt free?
Yes. Live prompt scoring and all AI optimization actions are free — no account or subscription required.
The toolbar isn't showing up. What do I do?
First, make sure you're on a supported site (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok,
DeepSeek, Copilot, Mistral, Meta AI, Poe, or HuggingChat) and that you've clicked into
the chat input box. If it still doesn't appear, refresh the page, or disable and
re-enable the extension from chrome://extensions.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome and Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Brave. Chrome 114+ is required for the side panel.
Do I need an API key?
No. End users never enter an API key. FixMyPrompt handles AI optimization for you through the extension.
Is my data private?
Prompt scoring runs locally in your browser. Your history, templates, and settings are stored on your device. When you click an optimize action, your prompt text is sent to our AI provider to generate the improved version. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I uninstall it?
Right-click the FixMyPrompt icon in your Chrome toolbar and choose “Remove from
Chrome”, or go to chrome://extensions and click Remove.
